Introduction:

On December 12, 2024, under the full moon that symbolized a rare moment of cosmic alignment, the Supa Mono Movie Pijama Night unfolded at ARC House. Hosted by Emmuas Kimani and Faith Linyonyi, and curated by KunTa BLeU, the event explored the theme of REST OF BODY AND MIND. A night where crypto art, reflective practice, and the human experience intertwined to create something extraordinary — an exhibition that invited the audience to rest, reflect, and reimagine freedom.

Rest in Crypto Art: Curating the Soul

As a freedom and crypto activist, KunTa BLeU carefully selected 50 artworks from the Notable Pepes collection — originally curated by digital art visionary @Vince_Van_Dough. Each artwork resonated deeply with the theme of REST, offering diverse interpretations of what it means to pause, heal, and release.

Below artworks where reflected upon by the audience:

  • “Do Me, Come Again” — where sensual pleasure becomes a pathway to rest.
  • “Exploded Pepe” by Mr. Landwolf — a visual representation of overthinking and the struggle to quiet the mind.
  • “Comfort” by NachoNight — exploring the vital role of support in overcoming pain, particularly through personal battles with alcohol addiction.
  • “See No More” by DrSuss — a poignant commentary on escaping societal pressure, embracing substances and carefree indulgence.
  • “Pepe Release The Stream” by Bongdoe — calling for women’s freedom to occupy public spaces, liberated and unapologetic.

Each reflection created an emotional tapestry: Windy’s overthinking, Eric’s struggles with addiction, and Faith’s feminist call for bodily autonomy underscored the universality of REST as an act of rebellion.

Luminance in Motion: The Artist’s Journey

KunTa BLeU’s Luminance in Motion: The Dancer’s Soul was the centerpiece of the night. A 12-second art loop became a 25-minute meditative experience, later extending into a 55-minute silent reflection. Audience members journaled on their phones — capturing moments of introspection, unspoken emotions, and their connection to art.

This cinematic pause invited stillness. The dancer’s motion mirrored the artist’s journey — restless creation, soulful release, and the search for peace.

Burgers and Soul Food

Art fuels the mind, and food nourishes the body. KunTa BLeU, alongside Alpha Unit, the resident artist, prepared dozens of burgers for the guests — a reminder that rest also comes from shared meals and communal laughter.

Ending on Freedom and Crypto Values

The evening closed with the screening of the Supa Mono Movie, followed by discussions on crypto art as a form of decentralized freedom. Privacy, autonomy, and the disruptive power of blockchain art emerged as central themes. As KunTa BLeU emphasized, freedom in art is the ultimate rest — freedom from gatekeepers, societal norms, and silence.

Conclusion: Rest as Resistance

Supa Mono Movie Pijama Night was not just an art screening; it was a sanctuary for souls seeking rest. KunTa BLeU and the Notable Pepes reminded us that in a fast-paced world, choosing rest — body, mind, and spirit — is an act of courage and revolution.
